Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl Recipe

At STARSEEDS, we're gearing up for a few seasonal changes. In the UK, where some of our team members are, spring is approaching, whilst the STARSEEDS founders are about to settle into their new lives in Bali. So we decided it was time to bring up the smoothie bowls for breakfast again - and we're loving this Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl recipe by GetInspired.mag.

Rich in vitamin C, brain boosting nutrients from the banana and anti-inflammatory properties from turmeric, it's a wonderful way to start your morning. This smoothie bowl recipe is also vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar free! To help stabilise your blood sugars with all this delicious fruit, we recommend adding some protein powder and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

 

Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 1.5 bananas
  • 2/3 of a mango
  • 1/2 the juice of a lime
  • 1/2 small orange
  • 1/2 teaspoon - 1 teaspoon

 

Optional ingredients:

  • Protein powder
  • Superfood powders such as adaptogens
  • Flaxseeds
  • Chia seeds.

 

 

Method

Vary quantities depending on how many servings.

Blend all ingredients together and pour it to the bowl or smoothie jar.

To Serve

Top you tropical smoothie bowl with your favourite nuts, seeds, flakes or fruit. We chose hemp seeds, coconut chips, rose petals, chia, pecans and decorated it with some mango pieces and a slice of orange.
